Please join moderator Catherine Fleming Bruce for a virtual candidates’ forum with the Democratic candidates in the two Richland Countywide primary races: Coroner and Sheriff. This event is produced in partnership with the In Town Democrats, St. Andrews Democrats, and Pinehurst Community Action.
You must register to watch the event on Zoom, or you may view the live-stream on the In Town Democrats Facebook page at 6:00 PM this Wednesday, June 3.
(After registration on Zoom, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the webinar.)
This event is a forum, not a debate.
Our goal is to share candidate’s views on:
*how candidates might transform the role by strengthening or changing policies;
*intersections between the roles of sheriff and coroner;
*challenges posed by race, gender and class, and how candidates would meet those challenges;
*the current protests against police brutality and the African American communtiy;
*impacts of the COVID19 pandemic
*the importance of this role in an uncertain time
Questions will come from a panel of media and academic experts, and from you!
Please share this information with your fellow Richland County voters and others who may be interested.
If you have questions for the candidates, please email them before NOON on June 3rd to tnovsaglobalcommons@gmail.
