Drive Thru Democracy

September 7, 2020 @ 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm
Drive Thru Democracy
RCDP will be helping the community. People are suffering as the COVID-19 pandemic continues to penetrate our economy and lives. And this year, we have the most important election of our lives on Nov. 3.
On Labor Day (September 7), we will sponsor Drive Thru Democracy, collecting non-perishable food and helping people navigate through the election process during events that will be held at various Richland County sites from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. We will be adhering to CDC guidelines, including wearing masks, while collecting food and providing material and assistance as people drive through the locations to deliver food donations and get help with practicing democracy.
We will be:
  • Collecting non-perishable food donations to distribute to local food banks.
  • Registering people to vote.
  • Helping people request absentee ballots.
  • Sharing campaign signage & swag (for candidates who provide it).
Come drive through, help your neighbors and practice democracy! Save the date, Labor Day, for Drive Thru Democracy!
